Hello, fellow pirates, corsairs & privateers.  This is a lovely web site.  You have so much to offer the people that are fascinated with the men & women that were referred to as pirates.  Your replica coins, treasure chests, and flags are wonderful.  I have decorated my new house as best as possible to the fancy of the pirate.  I must say, to anyone interested in the way of life, realism & truth about the life of a pirate, corsair & privateer; you have to pick a non-fictional book (if you haven't already).  It's addictive.  I tumbled across this site looking for a privateer...(I think) named Bluebeard. He is supposed to be in my family line somewhere.  I've had a terrible time finding any information on his history.  Then again, it's hard to find any concrete information on these men & women in our past history.  In the meantime, I will continue to read the interpretations that have made our mystery pirates hold on to our bleeding hearts to this day.  Salute to Mrs. Cheng, Anne Bonny & Mary Read and to any women pirate that held her own as long as she could in a pirate's world.

I LOVE THIS WEBSITE!!  What a great assortment of Pirate stuff. I am a HUGE fan of a local band of Pirates here in Seattle -- the Seattle Seafair Pirates.
